EXCEMPTION
If the posting continues for a longer period than stipulated in the agreement, the employer may apply for an exemption for the employee to remain covered by the Finnish social security. However, the contract of employment shall in other respects fulfill the requirements for posting.
An exemption is usually granted for a maximum period of five years. The certificate (e.g. A1) will be granted to employees with an exemption in the same way as to posted workers. The above ETK form 2132 is also used for applying for an exemption.
