Check your pension record
The pension record includes data on
- the earnings from private-sector employment contracts and from self-employment
- the pension accrued up to the end of 2009
- the pension accrued on the basis of certain social security benefits
- for persons aged over 50 and self-employed persons, an estimate of their old-age pension.
It is important to check the data on the pension record, since the future pension will be calculated on the basis of the data on the record. If the data is correct, the recipient of the pension record does not have to do anything.
The pension record helps you to check that all your private-sector employments have been insured and accrue pension rights. In most cases the data is accurate, and in that case you do not have to do anything. If, however, there are erroneous or deficient data, the pension provider which sent the record will correct the data in the pension record. It is worthwhile to correct any deficiencies as soon as possible, because in due time the accuracy of the data is the responsibility of each individual himself.
The record does not list employments abroad or supplementary pensions financed by some employers. The record does also not contain data on possible voluntary pension insurance.
