YEL certificate
With different YEL certificates, you can demonstrate, for example, that your YEL insurance is valid, that you have operated as an entrepreneur, or that you have paid your YEL contributions. Choose the certificate you need and download it easily from our online service.
Where can I find the YEL certificate I need?
You can find your YEL certificates in our online service under your YEL insurance details in the Certificates section. From the same view, you can also access certificates for terminated YEL insurance policies.
If you have or have had several YEL insurance policies, please make sure you have selected the correct policy before downloading a certificate.
Which certificate do I need?
You need proof that your YEL insurance is valid and that your insurance contributions have been paid → YEL certificate

You are applying for an unemployment benefit from an entrepreneur fund, sickness allowance or other benefits → YEL earned income certificate

If your insurance is being transferred to us
You can obtain a YEL certificate from the earnings-related pension company with which your insurance is valid at that time.
If your insurance will be transferred to Ilmarinen in the future, request the certificate from your current pension insurance company until the transfer takes effect.
What certificates do I need when making a tender?
As an entrepreneur, you are usually not required to present a certificate on the payment of your YEL contributions, or a so-called contract certificate, in your tender. However, if you have employees, you need to attach to your tender a certificate attesting that you have paid the employees’ pension insurance contributions, i.e. TyEL contributions.
