Service by publication regarding YEL insurance decision
We can terminate YEL insurance without the entrepreneur’s separate notification if the entrepreneur’s activities have ended and the authorities have declared the address unknown.
We always issue an appealable decision on the termination of YEL insurance. If we have not been able to find out the entrepreneur’s address, we publish a notice on the termination on our website.
We can open a YEL insurance policy without a separate notification from the entrepreneur if an authority has determined that the entrepreneur is subject to the insurance obligation and has declared the address to be unknown.
We always issue an appealable decision on the opening of YEL insurance. If we have not been able to find out the entrepreneur’s address, we publish a notice on the opening on our website.

Notifications are available on Ilmarinen's website for 7 + 30 days from the date of publication. Under the Administrative Procedure Act (Chapter 10, Section 62), the service of this notice is considered to have taken place and the decision’s 30-day appeal period began on the seventh day after which this notice was published on Ilmarinen’s website.
The decisions are available for viewing by the concerned parties at Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company, at the address: Porkkalankatu 1, FI-00180 Helsinki.
