Accessibility description
Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Company strives to ensure the accessibility of Ilmarinen's website and electronic services in accordance with the EU Accessibility Directive and the Act. The accessibility requirements apply to Ilmarinen's website as of 23 September 2020. This accessibility statement applies to Ilmarinen's website and electronic services.
Compliance
Ilmarinen's website and electronic services mainly correspond to Levels A and AA of the requirements set out in Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.
Partially accessible content
Ilmarinen's website includes Leadoo Marketing Technologies Oy's Inpagebot service, which partially meets accessibility requirements. Read more about the accessibility of Leadoo service.
Non-accessible content
The service's accessibility deficiencies will be addressed during 2026. Schedules for repairs will be specified as the design progresses. The following content is not accessible:
Perceivable
WCAG 1.1.1 Non-text Content (A):
Not all decorative images are marked as decorative. Not all informative images and visually presented information have text alternatives. Not all PDF files are accessible. Not all buttons have a clear purpose for assistive users.
WCAG 1.3.1 Info and Relationships (A):
The menu, selection, and accordion element, as well as calendars, input fields, tables, and links, may have problems using the screen reader. The role of links and buttons is unclear in some places. Identifying page structures and headlines can be tricky in some places. There are flaws in the expression of bold.
WCAG 1.3.2 Meaningful Sequence (A):
The reading order of the content is inconsistent in places.
WCAG 1.4.1 Use of Color, WCAG 1.4.3 Contrast (AA):
Text, graphs, selection elements, and background have contrast flaws.
WCAG 1.4.4 Resize text (AA):
In some places it is not possible to specify the content.
WCAG 1.4.10 Reflow (AA):
There are some flaws in page magnification (zooming).
WCAG 1.4.11 Non-text Contrast (AA):
In surveys, the color difference between the options is not yet clear enough.
WCAG 1.4.12 Text Spacing (AA):
There are some gaps in the spacing of the text.
Operable
WCAG 2.1.1 Keyboard (A):
Menu, selection, and accordion element, as well as calendars, input fields, tables, and links, can have difficulties in using keyboard selection.
WCAG 2.4.2 Page Titled (A):
Not all pages have individual title elements.
WCAG 2.4.3 Focus Order (A):
In some places, the perception and targeting of the whole can be difficult.
WCAG 2.4.4 Link Purpose (In Context) (A):
The purpose of the link is not always clear without a broader context. There are shortcomings in reporting the opening of a new tab.
WCAG 2.4.6 Headlings and Labels (AA):
Deficiencies in the mandatory expression of fields and some of the title elements are empty in some places.
WCAG 2.5.3 Label in Name (A):
In some buttons, the screen reader reads a different name than what appears on the screen.
Understandable
WCAG 3.1.2 Language of Parts (AA):
In video embedding, the repeater controls are designated in English only.
WCAG 3.3.1 Error Identification (A):
The error message is not associated with the field description.
WCAG 3.3.2 Labels or Instructions (A):
There are flaws in naming elements and opening the meaning of symbols.
Robust
WCAG 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value (A):
There are gaps in the naming of components. In some pages, the modal expressive of check-out or closure has been implemented inadequately. There are shortcomings in naming the harmonic button and indicating the status. The roles of buttons and links are sometimes unclear and there are gaps in the targeting of buttons. In some places, the current page is marked only visually, and the information is not passed on to the utility user.
WCAG 4.1.3 Status Messages (AA):
The error message associated with the forms may not be passed to the person using the utility.
In addition, Ilmarinen's website contains attachments (pdf, doc), applications and forms, not all of which are accessible. Non-accessible attachments are some of the files created before 23 September 2018 that do not have to be made retrospectively to meet accessibility requirements.
Creating an accessibility statement
Ilmarinen's accessibility statement was drawn up for the first time on 8 September 2020. It was last updated on 19 December 2025. The report is based on the evaluation and self-assessment of an external accessibility company, as well as an audit carried out by a testing program.
