WHERE DOES ILMARINEN RETRIEVE PERSONAL DATA FROM?

Personal data is only collected and processed for specific, explicit and legal purposes. Ilmarinen collects personal data from TyEL or YEL policyholders, i.e. employers and self-employed persons. In addition, we may collect personal data from pension applicants and pension recipients and from insured persons. We also receive data from legal official registers. Ilmarinen also collects data on the rental seekers and tenants of the flats it rents out.

WHAT DATA DOES ILMARINEN COLLECT ON INDIVIDUALS?

Name and personal identity code related to identifying an individual.
Contact information, such as address, email address and phone number
Information that is required for fulfilling a legal obligation
Information related to the activation of services and to the use of services at www.ilmarinen.fi

WHO PROCESSES THE COLLECTED PERSONAL DATA?

Access to personal data and their processing are limited, through user rights management, to those whose tasks require it. The persons processing the data are bound by the statutory obligation of non-disclosure.

Ilmarinen may use subcontractors in performing its tasks. The same regulations and non-disclosure obligations apply to subcontractors and their employees as to Ilmarinen employees.

Ilmarinen’s entire personnel have been trained in personal data protection. The training includes a data protection test.

HOW DOES ILMARINEN STORE AND MAINTAIN PERSONAL DATA?

Access to devices and servers that contain personal data has been limited, through user rights, to those who need them for their duties. Personal data is stored only for as long as required for the handling of the matter or until the statutory storage period expires.
The servers used for processing personal data are located in data centres protected through access control and security systems. The filing systems containing personal data are segregated from public data networks using technical security arrangements.
The use of personal data is also monitored through various technical arrangements.

WHOM CAN DATA BE DISCLOSED TO?

Pursuant to law, Ilmarinen may disclose data contained in its filing systems to producers of statutory pension and social security and the Finnish Centre for Pensions ETK, for example. Data is disclosed to authorities pursuant to law. Data is never disclosed to outsiders.

USE OF COOKIES

By using the website, you accept that Ilmarinen may collect data on the use of the website and on events. Ilmarinen uses cookies to improve the user experience and to collect statistical data concerning the use of the website. The cookie saves the user’s IP address, browser type, time of visit, pages visited and web address. The cookie also saves information on the page from which the user arrives onto Ilmarinen’s website. WHOM CAN I CONTACT?

By virtue of the Personal Data Act and Decree, the customer has the right to access the data that has been saved on him or her. You must submit a written and signed request to access the data to Ilmarinen’s postal address:

Indicate your name and personal identity code in your request so that we can locate your data. Ilmarinen will deliver the answer to the request to the customer’s address, verified from the population information system.
